We are proud to announce the most recent LEED certification of the Prologis Dongguan Hongmei Logistics Center.
This 882,600 SF (82,000 SQM) logistics center, with a pair of two-story warehouses, is just 500 meters from the S3 Guangzhou-Shenzhen Yanjiang Expressway. The location is ideal for city distribution for e‐commerce customers, retailers and manufacturers. It is a 25-minute drive from Guangzhou and 40 minutes from Shenzhen. Other major Pearl River Delta cities are all within a 90-minute drive.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the most widely used third-party verification standard for green buildings in the world. The U.S. Green Building Council established LEED in 2000 to assess buildings by key sustainability standards that include energy conservation, indoor air quality, the use of recycled and recyclable materials, support for reduced-carbon commuting solutions and long-term sustainability.
LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient. They use less water and energy and emit fewer greenhouse gases in comparison to non-certified buildings. To obtain LEED certification, buildings must be designed to minimize the environmental impacts of both construction and operation.
Prologis, an industry leader in LEED certification, has been designing and developing to achieve LEED certification since 2006. The LEED certified projects in China also include the Tianjin Ninghe Logistics Center and the Huizhou Huiyang Logistics Center.
